Born Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco lee, is the third child out of five children of Mr. Kenneth and Mrs. Augustina Iweh.

 Poco Lee Little beginnings

Pocolee was born on 21st October 1996 and hails from Orlu LGA in Imo state, southeastern Nigerian, but grew up in the busy city of Lagos, currently 25 years old.

 He is the third child of his parent and has two younger siblings after him. Even though he is an Igbo man, he speaks Yoruba fluently, having lived in Lagos state, which is predominantly a Yoruba state.

Not much is mentioned of his siblings, their whereabouts, and what they do for a living. However, we know that he has four siblings who grew up together in Ojo, Lagos state.

Pocolee attended Nigerian navy primary school Okokomaiko in Ojo. He had his education at command day secondary school, Ojo barracks in Lagos state. Pocolee studied microbiology at the Lagos state university (LASU) and graduated in December 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree.

During his sign-out from the university, poco lee wore a t-shirt with the inscription “Marlian wey no dropout.” this was to quash the rumors going around then of the “Marlian Nation” courtesy of Naira Marley being unruly fellows and school dropouts.

According to the record, Poco lee has been dancing since he was a child, and he grew up, took dancing seriously, and became a street dancer until his breakout.

The Stage Name “Poco lee”

In an interview, Pocolee revealed he got his stage name back in his junior secondary school days from a musical class.

 According to him, the Italian musical classes he attended got him the name “Poco.”

 An Italian term in music called Poco a Poco which means little by little, and he was the smallest in class, so everybody started calling him “Poco,” and he added “Lee” to spice it up, and that was how the name ”Poco lee” was birthed.

What brought Poco Lee Into Limelight?

 A video of Poco Lee dancing to the Zanku songs and its popular dance step at an event hosted by Lagos State University (LASU) trended online; the video was reposted by Tunde Ednut on Instagram.

 In less than an hour, Poco lee’s dance video went viral, and he received a message from Omoniyi Temidayo, better known as Zlatan Ibile (the owner of the song), who requested that he join him in the video of the viral song.

 After featuring in Zlatan”s music video. He became the most sought-after dancer in the entertainment industry.
